What is Microdermabrasion?
Microdermabrasion is facial resurfacing techniques that mechanically ablate aged or damaged skin to promote reepithelialization. It removes the uppermost layer of the epidermis, accelerating the natural process of exfoliation. It is a cost-effective approach to address superficial skin resurfacing and/or rejuvenation; a non-invasive, non-ablative and effective form of exfoliation using a diamond tipped applicator with slight suction to remove dead and damaged superficial skin cells. Multiple articles in dermatologic medical journals have proven that microdermabrasion improves acne scars; coarse, thickened, sun damaged skin; refines pores; recovers skin barrier function which helps the increases of hydration ; softens the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles; eases (mild to medium) acne by exfoliating the outer dead layers of the skin and stimulates new collagen formation in the deeper dermal layers which reveal younger, fresher skin. Safe for all skin types with little to no downtime or discomfort.
